Kilt flashes are a traditional element of Highland dress, worn with kilt hose just below the knee to secure the hose and add a visible touch of color beneath the folded cuff. Each set includes adjustable elastic garters with secure Velcro closures that wrap comfortably around the leg, allowing the wool flash tabs to show neatly once the hose is cuffed over them. Traditional kilt hose are intentionally made longer so they can be folded down over the garter, holding everything in place while displaying the flashes properly. These Black Isle wool flashes are designed to coordinate with our Black Isle tartan, giving your kilt outfit a clean, complete, and properly finished appearance.
