Returns, Exchanges & Adjustments
We want you to feel confident when ordering from UTKilts. If something isn’t quite right, eligible items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery, provided they meet the condition requirements outlined below.
Items must be in new, unworn condition. Garments that show signs of wear, damage, odors, pet hair, or alterations may not qualify for return or exchange. Special order and custom-made items are not eligible for return.
Clearance items may be subject to a restocking fee. If you are unsure whether your item qualifies, or if a simple adjustment may resolve the issue, we recommend contacting us before sending anything back.
Return Eligibility
To qualify for a return or exchange, items must be in new, unworn condition with no signs of use. Garments must be free of stains, odors, pet hair, smoke, deodorant marks, or other visible wear. Items that have been washed, altered, or modified in any way are not eligible for return.
All original components must be included. This includes straps, buckles, snaps, tags (if applicable), and any included accessories or packaging.
Special order kilts, custom-sized garments, altered items, and made-to-order products are not eligible for return. Please review sizing and product details carefully before placing special orders.
Clearance items may be returned, but a restocking fee may apply.
Exchanges
If you need a different size or style, exchanges are available for eligible items within 30 days of delivery. The item must meet the same condition requirements outlined above.
Size exchanges are the most common and can often resolve fit concerns quickly. If you are between sizes or unsure which adjustment is needed, contacting us before sending the item back can help ensure the correct replacement is selected.
If the replacement item differs in price, any difference will be charged or refunded accordingly.
All exchanges are subject to item availability at the time the returned garment is received and inspected.
Adjustments & Resizing
Before returning a kilt for sizing concerns, it’s worth considering whether a simple adjustment may resolve the issue.
Many utility kilts include adjustable snap systems that allow for minor size changes without alteration. These built-in adjustments are designed to accommodate small fluctuations in fit.
Traditional kilts may allow for strap repositioning to improve waist fit. In some cases, minor resizing can be done depending on how much material is available. However, significant size changes may not be possible without more extensive alteration.
If you are unsure whether your kilt can be adjusted, we recommend contacting us before initiating a return. In many cases, a simple adjustment can provide the correct fit without the need for an exchange.

To begin a return, exchange, or request store credit, visit our Returns Portal and follow the simple step-by-step instructions. The process is quick and allows you to select the option that best fits your needs.
You will need your order number and the email address used at checkout to access your order. Once submitted, you will receive confirmation and next steps for sending your item back.
