Great kilts are long pieces of fabric which are hand pleated and then put on with a belt or strap while laying down. They were what would have typically been worn before the more modern use of buckles and straps.

Recommended sizing: While many do like the thought of a high yardage kilt, we do not typically recommend it. For most people a 5 yard works extremely well and is the easiest to work with when doing the pleating. However, for larger guys the 6 yard may be a better option.
Most waist sizes - 5 Yards
Typically only recommended for those over 46 or 48 inches - 6 Yards
We do have up to 10 yard great kilts available if you want something longer
Sizing / Measuring
We typically recommend the 5 yard great kilt for the vast majority of men. These tend to be the easiest to work with when pleating, putting it on, etc. However, we have options for up to 10 yards for the great kilt. Because this is a custom order item it is not eligible for returns or exchanges.

The tartans listed are currently the only ones we can do. We do have the option to order more tartans from our weavers in Scotland. The price is more, but their are more tartans to choose from. Use the contact form to ask for details.
This is a special order, custom made item. It is not in stock. it can take up to 10 weeks to arrive, though we try to keep the average to 4-5. Once it is finished, typical shipping is 2-3 days (though it can take up to 5 in some rare cases). Optional 2 day and overnight shipping is available. Prices can be seen in your cart or at checkout.
